Fri, 17 Jan 2020 As Middle English goes, Pylgremage of the Sowle (unknown author, 1413) is much easier to read than Chaucer:
I initially misread “Enuye” as “ennui”, understanding it as sloth. But when sloth showed up at the end, I realized that it was simpler than I thought, it's just “envy”. [Other articles in category /book] permanent link |
